I am not registered as a loan for my mortgage because of bad credit, can I claim interest on the payments made?
The person is in obtaining a mortgage in 1098 in which the interest paid during the year? Can you show proof of payment of interest you have done, such as checks canceled or statements? If yes, attach a statement to your return explaining this. Show the amount of interest you pay each and give the name and address of the person who received the form. You can then deduct their share of interest on your tax return.
