Estate Need Legal Advice! ! 0 Pts best answer.?

So heres the situation. My grandmother lived in a nice house, but disappeared suddenly. She left no will, nothing about who has the house for me and my mother committed to progress. Homeowners insurance has been canceled. And now we can get the refinanced mortgage Because the only name on the house is my grandmother. Does anyone know what we can do in this situation? (If things were at Chicago IL)

If the grandmother had the house in joint tenancy, then the house belongs to the surviving joint tenant. My feeling is that the house was originally owned together with Grandma and Grandpa. Then, when Grandpa, Grandma became the sole owner. If so, the house will pass under the intestacy laws of Illinois. I will not see you, but I can say is that the house is likely to * be divided equally among children grandmother. If a pre-school grandmother died it, then the children of the deceased child (your cousin) will share the deceased child would have received. Before that happens, you will need to produce approval letters to the local Probate Court.
